Jane Williams is a TV Producer and Director, bringing factual entertainment content to life with passion and imagination.
Fandango Media is the name of Jane’s projects and collaborations.
I’m based in Birmingham with a global network of connections. My work has taken me everywhere from the gardens of Buckingham Palace to the inner-city streets where I filmed undercover to investigate racism and religious prejudice. Along the way I’ve organised a rescue operation for a stranded celebrity, captured footage of an endangered animal, built a Jacuzzi out of a whiskey barrel and danced an Argentine tango. I’ve retained my enthusiasm for media content that has the ability to influence positive change. Empowering people to tell their own story to enable interesting voices be heard is what motivates me. I helped organise ‘A Better Balanced Broadcast’ film festival to encourage diversity in the industry.
Working for the BBC and Channel 4, I have produced or directed well-known programmes such as Bargain Hunt, Coast, Countryfile, Gardeners’ World, Strictly Come Dancing ITT, See Hear, My Kitchen Rules and Location, Location, Location. I’m also experienced in Live TV, covering events including London Fashion Week, Notting Hill Carnival, General Elections, The Good Food Show and several Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Flower Shows.
My independent documentary film ‘Pilgrim Home’ has been test screened in art galleries, museums and at international film festivals. I am currently working with an LA-based crew on a series about a Mexican dance school, Ballet Joven.
PEOPLE AND PLACES
I’ve had the privilege of working with a range of talented artists, experts and presenters including Monty Don, Adam Henson, Simon Rimmer, James Martin, Adil Ray, Ben Fogle, Jeremy Paxman, Len Goodman and Bryony Kimmings. I have also produced content with the Historic Royal Palaces, the National Trust, the NHS, KPMG, The Garden, Maverick and Wonder TV.
I build long-lasting professional relationships.
